Country Inn and Suites in Houston near Hobby Airport

Country Inn and Suites 8778 Airport Blvd We were looking for an extended stay here and found this hotel at a great price on hotwire. I normally stay at Hampton Inn everywhere I go because I just love Hampton Inn. So, I was very reluctant to stay here. But the price couldn't be beat and we ended up here. The room was a bit musky. I don't know if a smoker had been in here or if it was just an odd room smell, but it turned me off immediately. There was no fridge and the room and bed were just basic. I was ready to leave asap. We settled in and had a great night sleep. The bed was basic, but very comfortable. The A/C worked great. The sink drained slow, but other than that, the room was fine. They have great shampoo and conditioner ready for you. This is rare at hotels. It was great quality. The breakfast was good. I like when a hotel offers warm breakfast and they did not disappoint. French toast, breakfast burritos, and, of course, the make-it-yourself waffle iron. The employees are friendly, too. Although the breakfast area could be a bit cleaner. Not real messy, so not a huge deal. They did not offer flavored coffee creamer like most hotels...I did not like that. One thing that did disappoint is that the dryer was broken for all 4 days we were there. When I asked about it, the front desk lady did not know of an approx. fix date. This is not fun when you have kids and are staying a few days. It should have been fixed immediately. This is supposedly a 3-star hotel. A working dryer is a no brainer. It ended up that we enjoyed our stay with very little problems. The nice employees pretty much made of for what management was not taking care of.
